FAQ- Frequently asked library questions: How long can I check out library materials?

This will be an introduction to how the FRCC Library system. This Libguide will focus on Library Services and it's book check out procedures.

How long do I get to keep it?

How long can I check out library materials?

Three week items (21 days)

Books may be checked out for three weeks, with 3 renewals allowed if not requested by another patron or fines are not excessive of $7.00.

One week items (7 days)

  • Westminster Public Library (WPL) new books 
  • Video/DVD
  • Back issues of WPL magazines

Items may be renewed up to three times if not requested by another patron or fines are not in excess of $7.00.

Non circulating items

Reference materials, FRCC magazine issues, and newspaper cannot  circulate  (be checked out).  Front Range Community College Media Collection and 2nd floor  magazines are in library-use only. FRCC Media collection needs to be checked-out with a current library card (exception for faculty) and may only be viewed within the library.

Check-out limits

Please limit your your selection to 5 per subject and 30 items total per card per day.  Exception is DVD's: these are limited to 10 at any one time.

Holds 

Hold items requested through the college library catalog will placed on the "Hold" shelf filled by patron name near the 1st floor Customer Service Desk.
